As I am decorating my mother’s house and adding christmas spirit, I wonder what it means to the sense of home.

I hardly have any sense of home. I just make any place my home.

It’s not the furnitures and colors of the house that make the house feels like my home. It’s not the people in the house sometime neither.

For me, it is the smell of Sweet Pea Scent (the body spray that I always wear.) and My care bear!

What is your sense of home?

I’m right there with you! We moved away from my hometown two years ago. This new city doesn’t feel like home… probably never will. And when I go back to my childhood house, it doesn’t seem like MY home anymore either. So, for me, home is wherever I can dance with my kids or read a good book. Home is putting on my Granny’s ring and smelling lavender perfume. It’s not a place. It’s a state of mind. Awesome post! Made me feel like I’m not crazy for not having a place to call home <3 Thanks, Sarah!
